Robert Bruce Palmer, Ph.D.

Robert Bruce Palmer, Ph.D., past co-chair of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry, is associate professor of Clinical Toxicology and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Wyoming in Laramie.

Dr. Palmer is clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of Colorado, Department of Surgery, School of Medicine in Denver. He also serves as toxicologist, chief scientific officer, and president at Front Range Toxicology in Greeley, Colorado. Dr. Palmer is a member of the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology, American Society for Medical Technology, and National Flight Paramedics’ Association. He served as author and scientific illustrator for Medical Toxicology and Critical Care Toxicology: Diagnosis and Management of the Critically Poisoned Patient.

Dr. Palmer is well published and has presented for the Society of Forensic Toxicologists as well as the American College of Emergency Physicians. He has also presented at the North American Congress of Clinical Toxicology. He is reviewer for American Journal of Emergency Medicine and Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics.

After graduating and completing his postdoctoral fellowship from the University of Washington, Dr. Palmer carried out his fellowship in toxicology at the Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Center in Denver. He is board certified in clinical toxicology and is in private practice at Toxicology Associates in Denver.
