This feature also allows you to search across all databases for a particular term, such as disease or drug name, or narrow your search by category or specific database.

  • Dosing Tools - These tools assist the clinician with patient care. Included are Adult and Pediatric Emergency Drug Dosing Calculators consistent with ACLS and PALS guidelines, Toxicity Nomograms, Therapeutic Pearls, and other frequently used calculators, such as Body Surface Area and Creatinine Clearance.

Information is provided on drug-drug, drug-food, drug-lab, drug-ethanol, and drug-disease interactions, including literature reports and clinical management.

  • IV Compatibility - The IV INDEX® System provides instant answers to help make accurate, confident, intravenous (IV) compatibility decisions. The System includes information from Trissel's Tables® and the IV Admixture module from Gold Standard Multimedia® . The System provides information on Y-site compatibility and solution stability

  • Patient Education - The CareNotes™ System is a comprehensive, immediately accessible patient education system. This resource assists healthcare professionals in providing patients with easy-to-understand information designed to address all aspects of their care and health. Presented in both English and Spanish, materials cover information on patient condition, including treatment, follow-up care, psychosocial issues, and continuing health concerns. The System also contains DrugNotes, which provide easy-to-understand instructions on medications.

  • Drugs & Substances - This component of the Micromedex® Healthcare Series allows you to find product brand and generic information, identify solid dosage forms based on their imprint code, and find product ingredient information. Trade and generic drug information includes compounds that are marketed both in the United States and internationally, and link directly to drug monographs in the DRUGDEX® and Martindale Systems. Imprint code information contained within the IDENTIDEX® System and product ingredient information link to the POISINDEX® System to provide quick access to data in the event of an exposure.
